Dr. Duygu Hiçdurmaz is a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatric Nursing. In 2002, she received her bachelor's degree from Hacettepe University School of Nursing, in 2005 she received her master's degree from Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences Psychiatric Nursing Program and in 2010 she received her doctorate degree from the same program. Between 2002 and 2004, she worked as a ward nurse and shift manager nurse on the neurosurgery and neurology floor at Ankara Private Bayındır Hospital. Since 2005, she has been working at Hacettepe University Faculty of Nursing. She received the title of associate professor in 2018 and professor in 2024 in the field of psychiatric nursing. Since 2017, she has been the Head of the Department of Psychiatric Nursing. She is interested in consultation-liaison psychiatric nursing, psychooncology, psychosocial care in chronic diseases, mental trauma, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapies, EMDR, mental health of nurses and nursing students, mental factors affecting quality care.
