She graduated with honors from the Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 2007. She is the recipient of the İhsan Doğramacı Excellence in Achievement Award and the Hacettepe University Student Achievement Award. After graduation, she worked as an Intensive Care Nurse for a period. In 2007, she began working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Public Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing at Hacettepe University. She completed her Master's degree in Public Health Nursing at the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences in 2009 and her PhD in 2013. She received six months of doctoral training at the University of Florence, Italy. In 2015, she became an Assistant Professor and in 2021, she was promoted to Associate Professor in the field of Public Health Nursing. Her research focuses mainly on disaster nursing, as well as other areas of public health nursing. She has participated in training, observation, project, and research activities in various countries such as Japan, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and Poland in the field of disaster nursing. Currently, she is the Head of the Department of Public Health Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Hacettepe University.
