Dr. Tuna was born in Razgrad/Bulgaria in 1978. She completed secondary school education in Eskisehir, high school education in Bursa. She graduated from the baccalaureate program at Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 2000. She worked as out-patient clinic, clinical and operating room nurse at Private Eye Hospital in Eskisehir from 2001 to 2002. She also worked as emergency room nurse at Gazi University Medical Faculty Gazi Hospital in Ankara from 2002 to 2006. She graduated from the Master of Science in nursing program at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Institute of Health Sciences in 2005. She started the PhD program at Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences Surgical Nursing Department in 2006. She has been working as research assistant at Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department Surgical Nursing Division since 2007 and Assistant Professor since 2012.
