Gülten Koç (Işık), who graduated from Nursing Department of Hacettepe University in 1994, worked as department nurse in Bayındır Medical Center VIP department for 8 months and as nurse educator for 3.5 years. Koç, who became Research Assistant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing of Department of Nursing in Faculty of Health Sciences in Hacettepe University in 1998, received master's degree with her thesis named "Information and Ideas Regarding the Treatments of Women who Applied to Menopause Polyclinic and Received Hormone Replacement Treatment for the First Time” in 2000, and doctorate degree with her thesis named “Analysis of the Efficacy of the Home Care Model Developed for Mothers Released from Hospital Early After Birth" in 2005. She is married and has two children.
