Prof. Dr. Leyla Ozdemir graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Nursing with a certificate of excellence on June 10, 2002; started her academic life as a research assistant in the same university on October 02, 2002, appointed as an assistant professor on March 10, 2010, and as an associate professor at September 26, 2012, and as a professor at July 18, 2018. Prof. Özdemir, with an H-index of 11 in the Web of Science, proficient in both English and Italian, has successfully supervised 23 thesis, authored 91 articles, 46 of which are within the scope of the Science Citation Index, and engaged in numerous scientific activities, including San-Tez and European Union Projects in her academic life. Since March 30, 2021, she has been working as the dean. With the projects she carried out during her term as dean, she introduced computer-based virtual reality to the education-training infrastructure and, virtual tour programs to the promotion infrastructure. The developed infrastructure products have been made available for use by Higher Education Institutions across Turkey. As part of her strategy to increase the faculty's global ranking above the 200-300 range, she has conceptualized a "think tank" unit, bringing together young academics and students through research and development, as well as social responsibility groups. Furthermore, she has established a learning commission to support students' learning processes. During her deanship, the Faculty was entitled to be fully accredited for 5 years, and numerous TÜBİTAK and other projects were produced with the participation of students.
